In-house Recreational Youth Lacrosse Divisions:
STARTERS 6U Division (Pre-K to K): This is a fun, instructional, non-competitive, skill oriented division with no weekend commitment. The Starters division is designed to introduce very young children to the game. They will practice in a clinic format and we introduce the basic skills of catching, throwing, shooting, cradling and scooping. Protective equipment is not worn in this division therefore, we use soft lacrosse balls instead of real lacrosse balls. Each participant does need to have their own stick. We also use smaller 4'x4' goals. This division does not start until mid-April, when the weather gets warmer, and ends prior to Memorial Day weekend. There will be 5 total Starters division clinic sessions on Tuesday evenings 6pm -7pm. The player fee for the Starters Division is $50.
The following divisions have separate teams and play games. The season begins in Mid-March and finishes in Late-May before Memorial Day weekend. The season starts with an instructional clinic where players are evaluated by the coaching staff for each division. The player evaluations are then used to assign players to in-house recreation teams with goal of creating balanced teams and therefore fun and competitive games. Our in-house recreational teams will consist of a mix of players of all experience and skill level. Teams will be announced on our website in mid-March prior to the first week of practice. Boys teams typically practice on Monday and Wednesday or Thursday. Girls teams typically practice on Tuesday and Thursday.
US Lacrosse Youth Divisions (Divisional structure may be modified based on number of registered players. Younger divisions play small sided games on smaller fields with 4x4 goals)
8U Division (Typically Grades 1st - 2nd)
10U Division (Typically Grades 3rd - 4th)
12U Division (Typically Grades 5th - 6th)
14U Division (Typically Grades 7th - 8th)
8U Division (Grades 1-2): This division practices once a week once games begin. Practices are on Monday with game on Thursday for boys. There are no weekend obligations for boys. Girls practice typically Tuesday and Thursday with some weekday or Saturday games. Practice days could vary depending on the availability of the coaches.
10U, 12U and 14U Divisions: In these divisions teams typically practice twice a week in the evenings. Boys practice Monday and Wednesday or Monday and Thursday with games on Saturday. Girls typically practice Tuesday and Thursday with games on Friday or Saturday. Once we get into May the boys practice once a week. Some games may be played during the week on occasion. Practices will consist of a mix of clinic station and team specific drills. At times players could be separated from their teams and grouped by skill level for clinic stations. Coaches from each team in each division will be working together to structure practices in order to enhance development and the overall experience for players at different skill levels.
Practice day for any division is not guaranteed. Changes may be made based on the coaches availability . If specific days are important to you please let us know when you register.
The base player fee for the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U Divisions is $100 per player. For boys, if they need to rent any protective equipment for the spring season then add $60 to the player fee for a total of $160.
Boys Protective Equipment: We rent helmets (all white), shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves for those who do not have their own. If you have your own helmet it must be all white and we will provide you with a Falcon decal. All equipment is for sale at discounted club pricing. All boys are responsible for having their own stick.
Girls are responsible for having their own stick and protective goggles.
Game apparel: All players will be issued a game reversible and shorts that will be turned back in at season's end. Any damaged or missing game reversible or shorts will be billed at $35 each.
